200-hour yoga teacher training
Welcome to Good Culture Club’s first ever 200-hour foundational yoga teacher training.
Over 10 weekends from March to May 2027, immerse yourself in the expansive tradition of yoga, from anatomy & alignment, to philosophy & seamless sequencing.
We’ll cover the depths of yoga’s origins, intricate philosophical topics & their application in the modern world, explore the layers of the physical body & guide you through the tapestry of cueing & art of teaching.
This teacher training is for anyone with a desire to become a teacher, or to simply get stuck into the deeper details of a holistic yoga practice. Whatever your intention is, this training offers a safe & welcoming space for you to discover your calling.
What’s included in your training…

Sadhana
Learn to establish a daily Sadhana practice of Asana, Pranayama & Meditation, allowing you to embody the yoga path & traditions & cultivate strong foundations for your ongoing practice.

Mastery of alignment
Unpack & rebuild yoga postures to understand the physical & energetic alignment of the yoga practice, with ‘blueprints’ to safely practice & teach asana.

History & philosophy
Understand the traditional & philosophical context of yoga’s ancient origins, including the Yoga Sutras, 8 limbs of yoga & other historical texts, as well as their relevance in modern life.

Anatomy & physiology
Understand the way the body functions, from muscular & nervous systems to the skeletal system, to deepen your own practice & design bio-mechanically sound sequences.

Hands-on assists
We encourage you to build trusting, nurturing relationships with your students when teaching, incorporating hands-on adjustments to support their alignment & neural pathways.

Business of yoga
Learn key business skills needed to promote yourself as a yoga teacher, set boundaries & create an ethical living from your teaching.

Sequencing & cueing
Unlock a deeper understanding of vinyasa krama (movement with breath) & acquire the knowledge that will empower you to structure safe, seamless classes, infused with philosophy & creativity, along with tools for mastering effective & clear cueing.

Subtle body anatomy
Delve into the metaphysical aspects of our energetic system - from chakras & koshas to prana & bandhas - and how to apply this to your classes & teachings.

Unlimited studio membership
Teacher trainees will receive unlimited membership to the Good Culture Club studio for the duration of your training, as a way of facilitating practical assessments & helping lay the groundwork for an ongoing, dedicated Sadhana.

Founding early bird: $3800 inc GST
Payment plan (deposit + monthly instalments): $4400
$600 non-refundable deposit is due upon application to lock in your spot, with the remaining balance to be paid prior to the course commencing, unless a payment plan is arranged.

Laura completed her first 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2009, diving deep into endless hours of practice & self study.
Now with more than a 1000 hours of yoga training & over a decade of teaching & experience, she draws upon the knowledge of many lineages & feels sincerely honoured to share the offerings of her teachers & mentors.
Renowned for her sold-out classes and flawless hands-on assists , Laura has contributed extensively to the Australian yoga scene, from the Gold Coast, to Mudgee & the Sunshine Coast.
Laura is considered a "teacher’s teacher" & has a passion for mentoring other teachers to advance their skills & refine their craft.
Her exceptional hands-on & verbal assists are built upon a deep understanding of alignment of hours spent on her own mat, which is evident throughout her classes & are the backbone of her signature Master of Alignment offering.

Good Culture Club
Beginning her teaching journey with a 200-hour training in Mudgee in 2018, under the thoughtful guidance of Laura Humphreys, Hannah has developed a grounding, creative & nurturing teaching style.
Hannah holds the strong belief that yoga is for everyone & that the ancient practice, when shared respectfully, can bring about deep healing, growth & connection.
After teaching countless classes & students across Mudgee, Hannah opened the Good Culture Club yoga studio in 2023, with over 1000 classes under her belt since launching.
In the years since her first training, Hannah has completed an additional 100 hours of training on the physicality of yoga, authentic roots of the yoga tradition & advanced alignment & asana.
Having first walked this path with Laura several years ago, it’s an honour for Hannah to come full circle & be co-facilitating this training for other passionate yogis in Mudgee.

What’s required
A reading list - which will be sent out when signing up for the training - of a couple of essential books to buy & read, along with some helpful recommendations.
A consistent yoga practice is required throughout your training & ideally in the lead-up to, with part of your training involving class participation, assisting & observation
Written & practical assessments, in order to graduate with your completed certificate
